Orbit Consulting (SMC-Pvt) Ltd ("Orbit Consulting", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website, use our ERP systems, or use our mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Definitions

  • Company / We / Us / Our — Orbit Consulting (SMC-Pvt) Ltd, Office No. 1, Plot No. 18, River View Road, Mini Commercial Area, Phase-7, Bahria Town, Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
  • Service — our websites, Orbit ERP product suite (OMS, T/A, ORE, Logistics, Academia), and related mobile applications.
  • Personal Data — any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.
  • Contacts Data — names, phone numbers, or emails retrieved from your device's address book, only after you grant explicit consent.
  • Usage Data — data collected automatically through use of the Service, such as IP address, device type, and pages or screens viewed.
  • Service Provider — any third party that processes data on our behalf (e.g. hosting, analytics, support tools).
  • You — the individual using the Service, or the organization on whose behalf it is used.

Information We Collect

Personal Data you provide — while using the Service, we may ask you to provide:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Company name, address, and other profile or business details
  • Any content you send us through contact, career, or support forms

Usage Data — collected automatically, which may include your IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser type, pages or screens visited, and timestamps.

Cookies — we use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly without them.

Contacts Access & Usage (Mobile Apps)

Some of our mobile applications include features — such as importing clients or leads into an Orbit CRM/ERP module — that request access to your device's contacts. This access is always optional and requires your explicit consent.

We do not access, upload, or share your contacts without your consent, and we never sell Contacts Data.
  • If you opt in, selected contacts may be uploaded to our secure servers solely for CRM/ERP synchronization.
  • You can revoke contacts permission at any time from your device settings.
  • You can request deletion of previously synced contacts at any time — see "Your Rights & Choices" below.

How We Use Your Data

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including ERP and synchronization features
  • Manage your account and deliver the functionality you request
  • Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, support, and service-related notices
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and user experience
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our terms

Sharing & Disclosure of Data

  • Service Providers — we may share data with vendors who process it on our behalf (e.g. hosting, analytics, email delivery), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Business Transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with notice where required by law.
  • Legal Requirements — we may disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights, investigate fraud, or ensure the safety of our users.
  • With Your Consent — for any other purpose we've disclosed to you and to which you've agreed.
We do not sell or rent your Personal Data or Contacts Data — ever.

Data Retention

We retain Personal Data and Contacts Data only as long as necessary to deliver the Service and meet our legal obligations. Following a verified deletion request or account closure, synced contacts and related records are removed from our systems within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account or data may have been compromised, please contact us immediately using the details below.

Your Rights & Choices

  • Access, correct, update, or request deletion of your Personal Data
  • Withdraw contacts access at any time via your device settings
  • Request deletion of previously synced contacts and related account data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications from us

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action to delete it.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our servers or service providers are located. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, consistent with applicable data protection law.
